Hello,
Due to the school closure for the foreseeable future. We will be using classroom.google.com for assignments.
In order to join your respective classroom, you MUST use an account that ends in @gmail.com
If you do not have one, then you will need to get an account with @gmail.com on it.
It WILL NOT WORK unless you use an @gmail.com to join the classroom.google.com
The class codes are as follows:
MACP: llqdx5u
Algebra 1CP: kl3bv3c
Algebra 1A: 233xjat
The characters MUST be correct to join. For MACP, the ll are lower case L's. For Algebra 1CP, the l is also a lower case L.
We will be using DeltaMath for our work to begin with. You will need to do the work on separate paper, but you will be able to enter your answers directly into the website. If you get the problem wrong, there will be information on the steps you need to follow to solve the problem correctly.
The code for DeltaMath is 522450
This code is for every class. Please join the correct class and period for DeltaMath.
Tomorrow, March 23rd there will be some review and reinforcement activities for you to choose from. Please spend some time familiarizing yourself with the platform.
As an example, to enter fractions, first type in the numerator followed by the / to separate the numerator from the denominator. It will take the appearance of a fraction with a horizontal line separating the numerator and the denominator.
March 31, 2020: Please be sure to check in at google classroom to see what the assignment is for your class day and to watch any videos that may be linked for explanation.
Welcome to the 2019-2020 School Year!
Please be sure to get off to a good start this year.
It is easier to keep a grade than it is to raise a grade.
You will all be starting out with an 'A' in the class, your pattern of work and quiz/test scores will determine where you end up!

Algebra 1 Re-Teaching
Students will attend a lesson each week after-school.
Mondays and Tuesdays at 3 pm in H-4 With Mr. Hernandez February 3, 2020.
Students can raise their test grade by 8% on a test by attending at least 2 after-school re-teaching sessions per chapter, completing
a 3-2-1 Reflection for each session, and attaching notes taken for each session. May attend more than 2 times, but the most extra credit you can get is 8%.
The highest grade a student can raise their grade up to 85%.
(A student who scored 83% and another student who scored 77% can both end up with an 85% on the test).
In order to get credit added to your test, you must do the following:
For Each Session:
Each student is required to submit a ‘3-2-1 Reflection’ to be turned in on the day of the test with notes attached.
3 concepts that were covered in the pRe-teaching sessions, described neatly in complete sentences.
2 example problems with all strategies and work shown.
1 question the student still has.
You must staple your notes from each session to that session's 1-2-3 Reflection!!!!
